No. Seriously. Tell her.
Nah, I'm just playin. But ok, I have a question. Where did all the pagers go? I wanted one so bad back in the day, there was this transparent turquoise one I kept begging my grandma for. I remember at one point everybody and their mama had one. Remember when 2-ways came out and people thought that they were the shit because they could do what basically every cellphone can now do? Memories.

And that brings me to another issue that has been bothering me. When did cellphones become so essential to life? Just like 10 years ago only rich people had cell phones, and now we can't live without them? I feel like mine gives people WAY too much access to me. I find myself having to explain why I didn't answer my phone a little too much. I can't use the "I wasn't home" excuse that having just a landline gave me. People actually get offended when I don't answer my phone. I've had more than one person leave me messages (plural!) talking about "I don't know what you're doing, or why you ain't answering my phone calls, but I see how you do me, call me back!" And I'm like damn, can't I just turn off the ringer sometimes and chill without being considered out of line? I'm getting ready to turn my shit off for good, it's too big of a headache. People are getting too attached to cell phones, period. One time, one of my friends forgot her phone at home when we met up to go see a movie. When she realized she didn't have it she wanted to turn around and drive all the way home from the theater to go get it. We were going to be watching a movie anyway, what the fuck did she need her phone for? Exactly. It's a damn shame.
So don't be surprised when you try to call my celly and get the disconnect message bitches. You made it this way!
